Today we bid farewell to a beloved member of our Masonic family, our dear Brother Vic Dorman.
As we reflect upon his Masonic journey, we are reminded of the profound impact he has made within our fraternity and the lives he touched along the way. Initiated into Freemasonry on the 27th of June 1980, Vic embarked on a journey marked by dedication, service, and brotherly love.
Vic's exemplary leadership was manifested during his tenures as Worshipful Master of Bulwer Lodge of Cairo in 1988 and again in 1998. His wisdom, integrity, and compassion guided the brethren, fostering unity and harmony within the lodge.
His devotion extended beyond the confines of his mother lodge, as evidenced by his involvement in various Masonic bodies. Of his many Appointments and Promotions, he spoke most fondly of his promotion to Provincial Grand Secretary in 2004, serving until 2011, which he cited as the most satisfying part of his Masonic career.
Vic's commitment to the craft was further demonstrated through his active participation in numerous lodges, including Chalfont St. Peter, Internet, Buckinghamshire Masters, Old School House and Notarius, among others.
From his role as Provincial Grand Standard Bearer in 1994 to his elevation as Past Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah in 2018, Vic's service to masonry was marked by distinction and excellence.
Beyond his contributions to Craft Masonry, Vic's involvement in Mark Master Masonry and the Royal Arch further exemplified his commitment to freemasonry. Vic's contributions to Rose Croix were significant, having been perfected into Undivided Trinity Chapter, and later joining Via Phari Chapter.
As we mourn the loss of our dear Brother Vic Dorman, let us remember his legacy of service, his unwavering dedication to the craft, and the countless lives he enriched through his kindness and mentorship.
So mote it be.
